EST

Fernhall Study Centre is a project of Education Sponsorship Trust (EST) a registered charity (Register number CC21074).

EST promotes excellence in education and any area of human endeavour. Its educational activities focus on the all-round development of the individual. This educational philosophy identifies the development of character as the foundation for the acquisition of other life skills.

EST was founded in 1989 by New Zealanders from different career and religious backgrounds. Their aim was to establish an association that would sponsor and promote educational projects to meet the needs of New Zealand society, with a special focus on youth. EST is a registered charity.

The founding directors of EST were inspired to challenge people – students, parents, workers, those in business or the professions - ordinary citizens, to pursue excellence in meeting their daily responsibilities.

Today there are activities sponsored by EST in Auckland, Hamilton, western Waikato and Wellington, which are open to all people, regardless of background.

Alongside its educational aims, EST’s projects have a Christian ethos.

Fernhall is funded entirely through donations. If you wish to learn more, please contact us.

Family

We believe that the family is the cornerstone of society and that transformation of society happens through the family. We emphasize the formation of young women to prepare them to become tomorrow’s leaders and role models.

Opus Dei

Christian principles form the basis of all our initiatives. We entrust the doctrinal and spiritual programs to Opus Dei, a personal Prelature of the Roman Catholic Church. For more info visit www.opusdei.org.nz

The Prelature of Opus Dei is a Catholic institution founded by Saint Josemaria Escriva in 1928. Its mission is to spread the message that work and circumstances of everyday life are occasions for growing closer to God, for serving others, and for improving society.

Fernhall has asked Opus Dei, to be responsible for the spiritual activities and to be available to look after the pastoral needs of those who seek spiritual guidance.
